A good few members of Nottingham RSCDS attended the Sprung Floor event on the 7th June, we were all excited to start the day’s dancing! We had the absolute pleasure of being taught by both Cathy and David Queen. The morning session was taught by Cathy Queen and was a Scottish Step workshop. Cathy patiently took us through 4 of the 6 steps in blue bonnets while David Queen provided excellent accompaniment on the fiddle. We even managed to perform Blue Bonnets to be recorded. The afternoon session was a Scottish Country Dance workshop taught by David Queen and accompanied by Andrew Lyon. It was a really fun afternoon of dancing allowing us to develop our skills at whatever level we were at. The day was rounded off with a short social dance, it was a lively programme and rounded off the day well. All in all it was a lovely day of dancing led by excellent teachers and surrounded by brilliant people.
